Jewler Design
There is a large market for jewelry in which not only small workshops and individuals participate, but also design studios with their own distribution channels, specialized jewelry companies, and fashion, perfume, or accessory firms that successfully market jewelry under their labels. Some jewelry makers strive to be artists, others consider themselves craftsmen, and yet others identify as designers.

Even among the latter category there are usually further distinctions made between those who produce small series (even limited and/or signed editions) and those who design for mass production by companies. In defining jewelry design, it is useful to review the etymology of the word “jewelry.”

The German word for jewelry, Schmuck, is related to the English verb “to smuggle.” This root indicates that the definition of the term “jewelry” may have evolved gradually over time, from something to be guarded as treasure to an exhibition piece intended to lend its wearer status and poise.

The English word is of course tied closely to “jewels” (very much in the spirit of Marilyn Monroe’s song “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend”) though the way we understand jewelry today is by no means limited to the use of jewels or even precious metals, but includes nearly every conceivable material including plastics, paper, rubber bands, and cardboard. The increasingly open-ended definition of the product has enabled the design to develop new standards of value for jewelry.

From the Middle Ages until the Art Nouveau era of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, jewelry’s central value was identified almost exclusively by the costliness of its materials. Today, composition, originality, innovation, and distinctiveness are increasingly important in the determining value.

This shift has at times led to conflicts between traditional jewelry makers and their markets. A consideration of jewelry’s significance also opens up divergent perspectives. Jewelry can be valued quite simply as a financial investment (especially when jewels, gold, silver, and platinum are used), a playful form of dressing up, or a symbolic artifact reinforcing aspect and respect. This latter application is striking in monarchic, political, and military contexts in particular, with their use of crowns, scepters, and medals as insignia of power and influence. These symbolic applications are evident within the context of everyday use, as well.

As with clothing, jewelry may represent its wearer as rich, fashionable, and striking; lend poise and form to the body; create equilibrium or deliberate asymmetry. At the same time, jewelry can serve to draw attention to whatever one wants to emphasize: the ears, neck, dØcolletage, wrists, and in rare cases feet and toes (with the increased popularity of piercing extending the spectrum of possibilities even further).

Fashion Jewllery Accessories

At designed for you we aim to give you unique and different jewellery. We don't try to follow the current fashion trends, but offer individuality and design timeless pieces of jewellery suitable for many occasions. Whilst our colour ranges will naturally include colours in vogue at present, they will also include many old and unusual colours. We delight in giving choice. Obviously we cannot give an infinte number of styles, but we can give variety, with chunky, unusual, beautiful, gentle, fun, and quirky pieces included in our range.
Selection

When we design pieces each bead, chip or stone is carefully selected to produce a balanced result, both in form, colour and weight.
Catches

We carefully select our catches to suit the weight and colour of the piece, and try where possible to use extendable catches to cater for different neck sizes and shapes. If you have a problem with a particular catch please let us know
Please note: magnetic catches and beads must not be worn by those using pacemakers.
Where we use magnetic catches this fact will be noted in the jewellery description. At present we do not use magnetic beads, but if we do this will also be noted in the jewellery description.
Variation
Many of the materials we use are individually handmade such as, the Hilltribe pendants and individually embossed and cut linked chain. Most of our Bali Silver Beads are individually crafted by silver artisans. The gemstones we use are natural materials and as such subject to natural inclusions and variances in colour and cut, and many of our glass beads are also handcrafted in small quantities and again subject to slight variation. Variations in machine manufactured items are usually considered faults, but the variations above are not faults but the result of individual treatment.
Descriptions
All products are photographed in full colour, but small variations in colour and size may occur between the beads in a piece of jewellery. Slight colour and size differences can occur between batches of beads. Sizes are approximate. Every effort has been made to ensure descriptions are correct, product descriptions such as 'gold', 'silver', 'copper', etc are subjective colour descriptions and do not relate to the materials. Sterling Silver and 9k gold items will be clearly stated as such.
Jewellery uses
Beads may discolour over time; we cannot guarantee they will remain colourfast indefinitely. Whether an item will lose its colour if put through the wash, used for outdoors projects or similar 'out of the ordinary' uses, we have no way of knowing and cannot guarantee they will remain colourfast.
All our pieces are designed to sustain normal light wear. The individual links are generally not soldered so will not sustain unreasonable force.

Weddding Dress

All women want an Asian dress to flash at different functions. But as there is no paucity of breathtaking Oriental gown both in Internet and at local apparel stores, women frequently find it rather difficult to choose the right one. Nevertheless, it is recommended to choose the various clothing for various occasions such as, Xmas dresses, Evening dresses, Ball gowns, Prom gowns and so on. Greatest thoughtfulness should be given to the comfort grade as your appearance depend on it. When you feel well about your appearance, you are at ease and will be able to delight in the situation completely. Oriental dress in different tones of red might go with ladies with dark color of hair, however a blue or green Asian gown looks spectacular on ladies with light hairs. Black is very favored and admired as it can be worn at all occasions, cases and seasons. These gowns are a must have for every woman. Indeed you should try different colors and see which one matches best. Women like to shop from the place where they can get a huge scale of ranges to choose from, together with comfortable prices. And only Internet wholesale Asian style dress stores can offer you the biggest scale of sexy Oriental dresses at prices never to find elsewhere. Before you sit at your PC and search for a most suitable sexy Asian dress, you should think about the color, also length, look and size as well. This will help you to limit down your search to only few pieces and to choose the traditonal Asian gown of your liking and which is preferred by you in an easy way. There are many possibilities available to you. Thus surf through the different wholesale Oriental silk gown stores in the web and check out what famous women are wearing to get any ideas.

The romantics can get much of lace around by managing the traditional or city chic to pinpoint a handy clean-cut piece. The dramatics will choose an Asian silk dress with a dash of some colour or with a special dress length (be careful of your curves). The naturals can buy too a pretty Oriental silk gown. If your color is more soft or warm, then avoid wearing dark color in the near of your face. Be sure that there is some flesh between the face and a sexy black Asian silk gown and you should choose few pearls to mirror brightness to your face, or a matching light coloured necklace. Remember that those add ons can completely exceed the planned expense. I surprised my boy friend, lately, by having on my recently bought gold lined dress with a pair of stilettos - the legs did not display, but the shoulders did, and the stilettos added some naughtiness but also made the look more elegant and very sexy. You can as well wear an easy day traditional Asian inspired dress with pretty tights, a great necklace or some high heeled boots. If you like to being inventive and adding some accessories, how about to wear it with some coloured stockings?

MakeUpTips

Complexion Care in Winter - Makeup Tips
Winter is dreaded by many because usually it brings a challenge to every complexion, but you can look your best if you take a few precautions. During the winter months your complexion needs extra care and attention because the oil glands just below the surface of the skin become relatively inactive and produce less moisture than usual. This and the increased dryness of the skin due to the drying effects of the sun and the wind are responsible for causing the tiny wrinkles and giving rise to various skin ailments like scaling, itching, chapping and eczema.

The best way, however, to counteract these ailments is to dispense with the use of soap completely, because it has been known to have a marked degreasing action on the skin. Instead, clean your face with milk cream or top-of-milk blended with a few drops of lime juice and a pinch of turmeric powder. Excessive use of cosmetics, hair dyes and sprays, too many hot baths and perfumes also make the hair dry. Every night before going to bed, take one tablespoon of milk cream and mix in a few drops each of glycerine, olive oil and rose water. Mix well and apply over your entire face, neck and hands. Leave overnight; in the morning wipe off gently with a tissue paper, then bathe the skin in warm water until it begins to feel warm and also rinse for the same length of time in cold water. Pat dry with a soft towel.

Also, massage your body well with olive or coconut oil blended with a few drops of rose water 10 minutes before your bath to make your skin soft and glowing. If dryness has resulted in scaling, take foods rich in vitamin A, because this vitamin is stored in the fat just below the surface of the skin counteracting any tendency towards dryness and roughness. In case the scaling is quite severe, also take this vitamin in the form of tablets but as this vitamin sometimes produces toxic effects in the body if taken indiscriminately, it should only be taken under medical supervision.

Another common skin ailment in winter is eczema. Initially the surface of the skin becomes red but later it turns dry, rough and scaly. Here are two effective remedies for this ailment. Grind a walnut to a paste, squeeze out its oil and apply on the affected parts a few times daily. In case this does not give relief, try this remedy.

Take a dry coconut and hold it with a pair of tongs over a burning flame. When its skin turns completely black and while it is still burning, place it on a tin-plate and cover it immediately with a small vessel. Remove it after a few seconds and you will find a layer of oil on the vessel. Rub this on the affected parts twice daily and within a week you will find definite relief in your condition. Itching too is a common complaint during this weather. Take a tablespoon of sandalwood oil and mix in an equal quantity of coconut oil. Apply on the itching parts of the body a couple of times daily until you get relief. The juice of Basil leaves is also equally effective.

Another type of itching which is very severe is known as winter's itch. This is usually due to the excessive dryness of the skin. It is also due to wearing too many woolen garments, too many hot baths, too little sun, lack of sweating, too much use of soaps and scent and dietary deficiencies. Arms and legs are commonly affected by it. To minimize winter's itch, every day an hour before taking your bath take two tablespoons each of curd and olive oil and mix in a few drops of essence of rose. Mix well and apply on the body an hour before you take your bath. Abstain from wearing woolens next to the body. Reduce hot baths and. the use of the soap to the minimum. Take vitamin A in the form of tablets and expose yourself to the sun for at least an hour daily. It automatically disappears in the warm weather because perspiration caused by the heat helps to keep the skin soft and moist.

If the skin on the soles of your feet becomes hard and cracked, rub the soles at bath time with soapy water and pumice stone. After bathing be sure to dry the feet well especially between the toes to prevent cracking. Massage them well with olive or coconut oil to keep the skin soft and smooth and to help the circulation of blood. After exposure to cold, take a foot bath using warm water and soap. Wipe dry, massage them vigorously for five minutes and then wear woolen socks. This is very important to prevent chilblains.

If your lips happen to chap, peel or crack, here is an effective remedy.

Take a rose flower and grind the petals to a paste. Mix in a little cream of milk and apply it generously on the lips before going to bed in the night. This will help keep the lips soft and pretty. Dry, itchy skin around the mouth is a common complaint during winter. Vitamin B tablets will help in this case. To protect your hands from rash and chapping wear a pair of rubber gloves when doing household chores. Every night before going to bed take an equal quantity of lime juice, glycerine, rose water and Cologne and apply nicely on the hands and after you finish your household chores rub glycerine and sugar on them for a couple of minutes and then wash off. This will help keep them soft and smooth.

Winter plays havoc with the hair, making it dry, brittle and dull. To bring a healthy shine to your hair, take some warm coconut oil, make partings along the hair and dab it along each parting with your finger-tips. Continue in this way till the whole scalp has been oiled, then wrap hot towels over the head to keep the scalp as warm as possible. After half an hour when the scalp has absorbed oil, wash the hair with shikakai and water Hair can never be completely clean and shiny until it is rinsed thoroughly-it should squeak at your touch.

Use a moisturized foundation to protect your ,skin against the harsh effects of the cold weather. Touch up your lips with warm, creamy colors. Pale lipsticks will make you look pale and sickly in this weather. Add lipgloss or a little vaseline to keep your lips soft and pretty.

Also follow a healthy diet scheme to enable your body to fight against the many ills of winter and to put an attractive bloom in your cheeks.
Makeup Tips For Different types of Faces
Facial structure should be analyses to ascertain the facial type so that attractive features are emphasised and irregular features are made less noticeable. To achieve this, you must understand basic face shapes.
Oval Shape

Oval is considered to be an ideal shape. No corrective make-up or special hair-style is required because it is the most balanced face. The purpose of make-up is to archive the oval shape. Eyebrows should be shaped in a natural arch. While applying lipstick the lower lip should be outlined to create fuller look and the natural line of the upper lip should be followed. Blush on or cheek colors be applied in a "C" shape and blended up to the outer corner of the eyes.

Diamond Shape

This facial type has a narrow forehead and chin with wide cheek bones. Reduce the extreme width of the cheeks to achieve an oval shape Apply a darker shade of foundation to the outside of cheekbones extending towards the outer corner of the eyes. A lighter shade of foundation can applied on the chin and the forehead to create an illusion of the width to the face. The Eyebrows should not be close but slightly apart from the centre and then follow the natural arch. Lipstick should be applied in the natural form of lips.

Heart Shape

A heart shaped face has a wide for head and narrow chin. Increases the width of the chin and jawline with a lighter shade of foundation and minimize the width of the forehead by applying a dark foundation. Eyebrows should be thick and straight following the natural arch, but with a one eye distance between the brows. Lipstick should be applied on the natural lip line. A high lighter or a white eye shadow can be applied on the forehead centre and the sides of the sides of the cheeks to create an illusion of the width. Apply rouge on the upper cheek base.

Round Shape

A round face has an almost equal width and length proportion. Add length to the face to achieve an oval Shape. Generally, a narrow forehead goes well this face, which can be formed by using a deeper shade of the foundation on the sides. To give a slender look to the jawline, a dark colour foundation can be applied on the jawline and under the cheeks. Cheeks will look narrow if rouge and blush on are applied on the cheekbones and blended towards the temple area. Lipstick should be applied on the inside of the lip line. Eyebrows should be shaped in a sweeping manner. Eyebrows and eyes should be given a longer appearance with the help of the brow pencils.

Square Face

A straight forehead and square jaw make a very strong face shape. A darker shade of foundation applied on the temples, jawline and sides of the face will tone down the wide corners of the face. A little rouge on the cheeks should blend towards the jawline to accentuate the length of the face. Round shape eyebrows provide a soft touch to the face. Lipstick has to be applied to create fullness in the lips to divert attention from the square jawline.

Long Shape

The face is long in the proportion to the width, usually with hollow cheeks. to reduce the length of the face an illusion of the width is required. Slightly thick eyebrows with a natural arch are needed to reduce the face length. Eye make-up should be aimed to achieve a wide- eyed look. Eyeliner should be applied from the centre of the lid tilting it up to the outer corner of the eye. Lip line should be full in the appearance. Rouge and blush-on should be applied to cheeks not higher than outer corner of the eye and not below the tip of the nose. A deeper shade of foundation can be applied across the jaw and chin and on the top of the for head to reduce the length of the face.

Pear Shape

Narrow forehead, wide jawline and chin are the main characteristic of the pear shaped face. An illusion about the length of the face and adding width to the forehead are required for a pear shaped face. Eyebrows should be shaped to create a higher arch on the outer ends. Rouge application on the cheekbones should be blended towards the jawline. A deep colour foundation should be applied on the sides to minimise the width of the jaw and to achieve a slender look.

Makeup tips

Useful Make Tips
Makeup is to facial skin what colors are to canvas. If applied correctly it not only enhances the looks but also brings out a near perfect persona from the simplest of faces. Makeup hides blemishes and imperfections. Yet at the same time it is important to note makeup is not the alternative to good skin. Good skin should be the primary goal. And to maintain it applying makeup in right contours should be the secondary goal.

A clean, well moisturized skin is the prelude to makeup. Make up starts from application of foundation. Right foundation makes the skin look natural and flawless. Wrong foundation gives the appearance of superficial artificiality. Most women across the globe have yellow based skin. It includes Asian, Latin and African women. So to have that perfectly natural, flawless look they need to wear foundations with a yellow base. Most of the foundations available in market have pink or orange tints. Sacha cosmetics, that was official makeup for Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants, is the first cosmetic company to manufacture yellow tint foundation and it is a good product to start with. To get the correct foundation tone, it must be first tested on jaw line or forehead.

It is imperative to moisten a gauze pad or wash cloth in astringent and gently pat it on already made up face so as to get a dewy finish. The astringent removes the matte look. Excess foundation must be wiped clean with a tissue. Foundation can be set immediately by applying translucent powder. Try to avoid cream foundation in summers as they have high content of oil and may slip in extreme heat. Sometimes tinted moisturizers can be used in place of foundation. Many people are not clear when is the time to replace your existing foundation with a new one. The answer is when your foundation begins to curdle then it must be replaced with a new one. Loose power is ideal for setting make up and compact powder for touching up during day and night. Face powder must be matched with the skin tone. It must be evenly applied on sidelines, jaws and sides of nose to get the perfect finish. Excess powder must be dabbed with help of a tissue paper. For best results try the face power by Maybelline and L'Oreal. A face powder with SPF 15 is the best bet to ensure all day protection from sunlight during day.

Right concealer can hide all types of blemishes like under eye circles and acne. Liquid concealer is ideal for dry skin and larger areas like under eye circles while solid concealer can hide small spots. While buying a concealer, choose the one that matches your skin tone or is a shade lighter. It must be applied over foundation and as sparingly as possible. While concealing dark circles, yellow eye shadow can be mixed. This will color correct the dark circle and give a natural skin tone. A little concealer must be applied under the eyes to avoid dark looking eyes.

Blush is used to give the appearance of a flush and healthy looking skin. The color of the blush can be matched with the natural color of lips. Cream based blushers are in vogue for oily to combination skin while creams based are ideal for dry skin. While applying blush, a full size brush, like MAC's blush brush No.116 can be used. While applying blush always smile as this helps you in figuring the apple of the cheeks. Blush should be applied only on apple of cheeks. Excess blush can be wiped off with translucent powder. Best brands in blushes are Max Factor, Nars and Revlon.

Eyes are the main attraction points and eye make up can make the difference between naturally done or artificially done face. In eye makeup, less is more. If you are in hurry, then apply base color that matches your skin tone and top it with mascara. Apply eyeliner as close as possible. For a dramatic look thicker and darker is the bets bet. For eyebrow use a color that matches with the color of brow. Avoid the drama, just color the brow instead and fill in the gaps after combing the brow. If your brow are too then bleaching them up could open up the face. The best brands for eye make up are Urban Decay, LORAC and Sue Devitt.

Lip colors are used to enhance the lips and give the appearance of fuller lips. If you are lucky to have fuller lips than light and frothy colors will work the best. Before application of lip color, lips must be moistened. It is important to that lipstick can act as a blusher but blusher cannot act as a lipstick .To avoid lipstick on your teeths always put index finger in your mouth after application. This will wipe excess lipstick. To get the appearance of plump lips just apply lip linear outside your lips. Many a times lip liner can be applied after the use of lipstick. When wearing a red lipstick use a brown pigment to line and fill lips first as this will make the lipstick last longer. Apply lip gloss over lipstick or alone. Women with fuller lips need not use lip gloss. The best lip color brands are by Revlon, Body Shop, Cover Girl and L'Oreal.

Real beauty is skin deep and this must be always remembered. Make up is no magic band that can transform plain looking Jane into Cinderella. It is only a tool to enhance the natural looks. Healthy looking skin is transformed by makeup but make up is not a substitute for healthy skin. Similarly it must also be noted that makeup products are composed of chemicals. Too much exposure to make up is also not good for the health of skin. Before sleeping, all traces of makeup must be wiped clean to allow skin to breathe naturally. So be ready to say hello to beautiful you.

Makeup for Dark Skin Complexion
The measuring rod for a womans beauty is her fair complexion. Though theoretically everybody agrees that not complexion, but charm is the most desirable quality of beauty, the deciding factor still is fairness of skin. A healthy, smooth and glowing skin makes a woman stunningly attractive despite her dark skin complexion. A fair complexion is prone to pimples, blackheads, spots and shadow. A tasteful makeup and choice of clothes enhance the beauty of a dark woman.

Use a liquid foundation before makeup. Select a darker shade of foundation in order to subdue the unwanted glow because a dark skin has a tendency to shine. Moreover, a lighter shade is unsuitable because the face may look patchy. If you are unable to get the correct shade, add a little distilled water in it. Rub in the lotion well so as to absorb it in skin otherwise after some time, the foundation will appear in waves on the face. Use only a little powder because a darkish complexion requires very less quantity of powder. Almond brown mascara and light tinged eye shadow are more suitable. In the choice of lipstick, go in for a shade lighter than the colour of your lips and give a light touch. Do not apply in excess. Use any lip-gloss during day time. For evening makeup, use an almond red shade on your lipstick, but avoid coffee colour shade or pink shade. For dark lips, lip-gloss is good.

Selection of Clothes and Jewellery

A dark woman should avoid black, blue, pink, light brown and sky blue coloured clothes. Instead you can wear orange, red, white and yellow colours dresses. If you like to wear european dresses like maxi, caftan, middy, you should use printed material.

For jewellery, go in for diamonds, platinum and silver, and avoid the ingrained designs.

Although every type of skin require proper care, but dark skin requires more moisture than a fair skin. A dark skin develops signs of ageing rather late and dark women are luckier than the fair ones because dark skin is less prone to pimples, shadows, wrinkles and blotches.

If you have a dark but dry skin, use a deep cleansing milk followed by a moisturizer at night. Wipe off with a wet cotton wool swab, after half an hour. Take a spoon full of un boiled milk and mix a little almond oil, a few drops of lemon juice and rose water in it. Apply the mixture on your face and neck daily at night. This solution is good for clearing the complexion. Use of honey is good for getting a glow on the skin.

Blush, Blusher, Blush Makeup, Blush Powders and Tips on How to Apply Blush
You should apply blush after all of your other makeup because it is the final touch and should match the rest of your facial makeup, not vice versa. Blush is a highlighting colour, that is applied on the high edge of the cheek bones and blended to create a natural-looking blush on the cheeks.

Choosing the Blush Colour

Choose a blush colour that resembles the colour on your cheeks after you've exercised. Anything darker than that will look fake. Blush is the one thing you should not have to blend, because if you do, it means it's too bright for your skin. Blushers also come in two colour harmonies: the gold harmony with coral, orange and reddish brown tones and the bluish harmony with rose-beige colours.

Color Choosing Tips

For Fair skin - grayish yellow(beige), golden-brown(tawny) and pink tones.

For Olive/Yellow-Toned Skin- warm brown, almond and copper shades.

For Dark-skin- plum, auburn and deep bronze shades.

For Tanned skin - orange, apricot, peach and coral shades.

Different Forms of Blusher

Blusher comes in powder and gel/cream forms. look. The predominant form today is the powder blusher because it's easy to brush on and it doesn't get streaky - this is the successor to the original rouge. Powder is easiest for beginners to use. Gel or cream makes good daywear because it gives off a fresh and dewy Cream blushers are somewhat newer than powder blushers.

Powder blush generally comes in small compact cases with little brushes. It is recommended that you invest in a large and poofy brush with bristles at least an inch long. The effect is a more natural look.

Remember that here too you must select both the right form and the right colour.

MakeUp

Make Your Makeup Last
This holiday season, you’ve undoubtedly been to many parties, and some, might have lasted till the early hours, which means that your makeup might not have survived the whole night. So with New Year’s Eve right around the corner, how can you make sure your makeup stays put all night? Here are some steps you can follow!

1. Moisturize

Moisturizing is one of the most important steps you can do even before you think about putting on your makeup. When moisturizing, your skin will help absorb the makeup and also keep it in place. If you apply concealer without moisturizing, your skin will just flake, and you’ll end up with blochy, dry spots.
2. Primer
Second most important step in makeup durability is the primer. Choose a silicone-based primer which is amazing at helping to keep your makeup in place all night long. The silicone primers will give your skin a silky smooth finish and will also make sure your foundation stays put.
3. Prep the Eyes
Before putting on eyeshadow, make sure you cleanse your lids and then proceed with a thin layer of foundation. This will ensure that you don’t get those nasty creases.
4. Powder
After you’ve applied your foundation, finish off with a matte powder to put everything in place and so that your foundation doesn’t come off.
Look Thinner and Younger With These Makeup Tips
An oval face shape is considered to be the perfect face shape, so in order to make your face look thinner and more sculpted, you want to shape your face so that it looks more oval. And best of all, you can do this by using nothing more than foundation and powder. By thinning out the face using the makeup techniques below, you’ll be surprised at what a youthful glow your face will have and what a difference it will all make. Keep reading below to find out how to look thinner and younger in just a few simple steps.

The basic sculpting method involves highlighting and contouring the face. Basically, everything you highlight comes forward and everything you contour stays in the background. So in short, you want to highlight your good features and contour the ones you want to hide. To start, you’ll need three different shades of foundation/powder in three different depth levels:
  • The first foundation shade should match your skin exactly.
  • The second shade which should be your highlight color, should be one level lighter than the first, preferably with the same undertone.
  • The last shade which is your contouring color, should be one level darker than the first, again preferably with the same undertone.

The diagram above should help you with the placement of the foundation. The most important thing to remember is to blend the foundations really well because the blending process is what makes the sculpting method work and look natural.
Step 1:
Apply the first foundation (your true shade) all over your face, blending it well. Start visualizing an oval face. The width of the oval is your eye sockets the height and length of your oval extends from the tip of your forehead to the tip of your chin.
Step 2:
Take the second foundation (your highlight shade) and apply it to the high points inside the oval. This includes your forehead, under the eyes, at the top of the cheekbones and the tip of your chin. So say your face is a little fuller, this will attract the attention to the narrow area to the middle of the face.
Step 3:
Lastly, apply your contour shade (the darkest one) to the areas outside the oval. This includes the the temples, along the hairline, the sides of your cheeks and down the jaw. By deepening these areas, your are making them visually recede and your face to appear more narrow and oval.
Step 4:
Now of course everyone will use different shades according to their skin tones so if you have ivory/beige skin, you’ll contour more than highlight – same goes for really pale skin. If you have bronze/ebony skin you will highlight more than you contour.
Step 5:
Finish up the process by applying powder to your face after you’ve blended all three foundations. For even more dramatic effect, use a different powder to match your three foundations. So use a regular one for your regular foundation, a lighter one where you highlighted and a darker one where you contoured. If you have just one shade of powder, then just use that all over the face. This will help ensure a smooth finish.
Step 6:
Find the perfect blush and then apply it to the apples of your cheeks for a youthful glow. And there you have it; a skinnier, younger looking face just take a few minutes!
